28A Exit Strategy

1.    My exit strategy for my company is to sell my app that I created for a small return. My idea is not extraordinary, it is simply to improve society and promote production through limiting people’s use of social media. I plan on this being the first of my ideas and this course has taught me valuable skills on how to exploit my opportunity and use resources efficiently.
2.    I chose this exit strategy because I do not plan on taking my company any further as I have a lot to accomplish already with school and extracurricular involvement. Adding another task to my list would be very difficult and I believe making a small profit off of my company is better than the stress that would come in keeping it.

3.    This exit strategy has influenced me by teaching me how to negotiate and sell an opportunity. I can take this information and use it in future dealings whether it involves me selling a company or buying one. I believe gaining the experience in selling a company is very valuable and will be beneficial for future business relations I encounter.

  1. Adam,
I found your idea and your exit strategy interesting. I think that your product can be really helpful to many. However, I can see where you are coming from with not being a product that is revolutionary, so you would rather spend your time elsewhere and focused on other activities. I wish you the best of luck with your product!

  2. Adam,
I thought this was interesting to read because I would plan to have a different exit strategy than you. I agree that it could be hard to stay with my company long term if I started it soon, because I am busy and have a lot of other things on my plate. I also like how you said that selling your business could be a good learning experience for you. Great job!

  3. Hey Adam,
I think you did a great job overall on this assignment. It has been very interesting to read about your exit strategy. My exit strategy is very different from yours. So it is very cool to learn why you chose that exit strategy. Your exit strategy does make sense for your venture. Overall great job.

  4. Adam,

Your exit strategy is similar to mine since I also intend to sell mine after it has been developed. I guess this is because of academic goals and you've pointed out but also of career goals that don't really revolve around the companies for these opportunities. I agree that a lot can be learned from starting a business and a new skillset can be built. Good luck with school!
