9A Testing the Hypothesis, Part 2

Who: The people who fall outside of the boundary for my opportunity are those that do not use social media as well as those that use social media but very rarely.  After conducting interviews, I found that those who do not use social media would not need an app that regulates their usage of these platforms.  Also, those that do not use social media very much would not go above the time usage on social media.  

What: According to my interviews, there are a few things that I can change about my app to limit people’s usage of social media.  In order to get people to use my app, I could develop an incentive system where people receive rewards for spending less than a certain amount of time on social media. 

Why: The reason for creating an app to reduce the time spent on social media platforms remains constant.

    I think it is great that you have altered your app since finding out there are similar things like Screen Time that already tell you how much time you’ve spent on social media. I think the incentive part of the app is a great idea. I know there are other apps out there that offer similar things, but I am sure if you teamed up with big businesses you could make your app unique and very popular.

    I found it interesting that you thought of an incentive system that would motivate people to spend less time on social media. It reminds me of a reward system my parents would do that encouraged them to get more exercise with the use of a pedometer that would track their steps. Customizing your app and making it more unique is a great move to differentiate yourself and attract more people.
